73081 8 Foot Xmas Tree
The Barrango 73081 Mountain Pine 8 foot xmas
tree is considered one of the most real looking artificial forest accessories in
the world. The trees come in sizes starting from four feet right up to one
hundred feet tall. Garlands and wreaths come with this and some of the wreaths
are so large they can encompass a motorcar without touching the car.
Christian lore dictates that the tradition is associated with the German town of
Geismar and St Boniface. St Boniface is reported to have cut a tree of Thor way
back in his lifetime, which was between 672-754.
It was supposedly cut down to discredit the existence of the Norse gods to the
local German people. He saw the fir as representing Christianity and as he cut
it down he exclaimed, let Christ be at the center of your households.
The history of this during the festive season is reasonably young. Martin Luther
established this as the Protestant reply to the nativity scene of the Catholic
Church. He established the Barrango Mountain Pine 8 foot Xmas tree as a symbol
depicting the tree of life in the Garden of Eden.
It was around the sixteenth century that this custom began. It started in
Livonia and Northern Germany. This is known today as Northern Latvia and
Estonia. There is documented proof of Christmas trees first being used in
1441,1442 and 1542. It was erected by the brotherhood of what was known as the
blackheads to celebrate holidays in the house of the brotherhood. This house was
in a place called Reval and is now known as Tallin.
On the final evening of celebrating going into the holidays, a fir would be
erected in the town hall square and the brothers of the brotherhood would dance
around it. There is much history that involves Christmas trees and the Barrango
Mountain Pine 73081 8 Foot Xmas Tree is a great way to carry on this tradition.
