There When searching for the perfect
decorations for your house and tree, you have to know what kind of look you want
and how much you need. If you just plan on wrapping the lights once around your
tree, then you don't need so much. If you want battery powered LED Christmas
lights for your entire house, around the roof and wrapped around every window,
then you will obviously need a longer strand.
It is a good idea to measure your house before you start, unless you have the
original blueprint of your home and you can see exactly how long it is. You
don't want a disappointment later when you are up on the roof, strands in hand,
and find that it doesn't cover the last two feet of the front side of the
building.
With battery powered LED Christmas lights, this is even more important because
you will also need to know how many batteries to buy. Since a lot of other
people are purchasing these same items and since most stores are closed on the
holiday itself, make sure to buy enough in advance so you don't run out on the
most important night of all.
The good news is that these lights do not require much energy to run so your
batteries should last a long time and will probably power them through the
season without needing to be changed. It is a good idea to shut them off during
the day, though, since no one can see them anyway in the daylight and that way
you will save energy for nighttime.
The color of your strands does not make a difference in this case, since both
the white lights and the multi-colored ones take about the same amount of
electricity. Even the choice of blinking versus staying on throughout the night
does not matter much either way when it comes to how much energy you will need
to power them.
Battery powered LED Christmas lights can be both beautiful and easy to manage,
just make sure you are prepared. You don't want to be the one house on the block
sitting in the dark because you forget to buy the one thing you need to make
them light up!
