Christmas Lights Tester: Save Time and Money

When using a Christmas lights tester in a series of Christmas lights, you’d often encounter 48 good bulbs first before finding that one among fifty that needs to be replaced. But without doing so, just that single bulb can cause all the rest not to function. Imagine how disappointing it would be to find out that the previous year’s Christmas lights can no longer be used because of a single bad bulb? So troubleshooting the string of lights will save you from buying a new set of Christmas lights and from the risks that might be exposed of impaired connections. This is especially helpful if you own Christmas lights timed to music.

Before using the Christmas lights tester, make sure that every strand of wire is insulated and has no breakage. If primarily the wires are damaged, then you might need to repair that part or buy a new one. And since the bulb lights may still function, use them for replacing on the other sets of Christmas lights. You can make a new series out of the old ones.

Using the bulb tester, insert the probe in the base of the first set of bulbs. Then you can determine which among that line has defects. Repeat the same procedure in the middle part and end of the series. Each time you find a faulty bulb, replace it with the good ones.

It will take you some tries to pinpoint which bulbs need to be replaced. But the effort is worth the savings and the safety that you can be assured of.
