Light emitting diode (LED) Christmas lights
have become more popular during the holiday season. This is due mostly to the

durability and power. White LED lights use a two stage process to create the
white, broad spectrum light. The first stage allows the LED to produce one light
color. In the second stage a phosphor absorbs a blue or blue-violet light which
then transcends to a florescent yellow which then imitates a broad color
spectrum that emits white light that is able to been seen by the human eye.
LED Xmas lights use a lot less electricity than incandescent bulbs. They are
made from non-metallic filaments that will not break or burn out. These types of
lights are less likely to break from rough impacts or hard handling. They last
long and are extremely durable and are much more cost-efficient than regular
bulbs.
